Who's that out in the briar patch. Why, it's Cotton, of course! Sweet, gentle and complete with cotton tail, she is an adorable little bunny.
Cotton is a needle sculpted bunny using a very time-consuming technique. There was no pattern, no scissors, no sewing! She was created using New Zealand Romney and hand-dyed merino wool that was sculpted into form using a very fine, barbed felting needle to secure it in place. While the process took several days to complete, the results make it well worth the effort. Cotton is a one-of-a-kind. As you can see from her portraits, Cotton has very delicate detailing for her nose and mouth, inner hears and paw pads! It was, quite literally, done fiber by fiber! She has deep-set eyes that are hand-blown glass, imported from Germany. At 5 1/2 -inches (not including her ears), she is posed in a manner that reminds me of those antique chalkware pieces.
