Meet Guthrie #4, one of the newest members of my Tie-Dye Family. I love everything about this delightful teddy, especially the beautiful array of colors around his face! Of course, Guthrie's fur is imported, 1-inch Schulte mohair that I have hand-painted and hand-dyed in a rainbow of colors. It's as soft as it is vibrant. His inner ears are ultrasuede, which really makes them stand out. And, this Guthrie's ears have been "lowered" to give him a really charming look! Guthrie's face has been hand-trimmed (and plucked)...and you have to love his multi-color, hand-embroidered nose and mouth. His hand-blown eyes are deep set, giving him a thoughtful expression. And, look at the size of that belly. Guthrie is not shy at the honey jar! And, you have to admit that even his feet have personality...and he has VERY large feet, needle-sculpted with toes (and, yes, he has fingers on his paw pads as well!). Guthrie is a perfect size for hugging...and he feels good, too. He is stuffed with a combination of polyester polyfil and polished steel shot. Around his neck, Guthrie is wearing some classic jewelry...a peace charm harking back to the 60s and 70s! And, like all the teddies of The Bear Menagerie, Guthrie has a sewn-inch tush tag and will travel with a signed name card assuring you that you are the proud owner of an original design teddy!
