Briar Bear is the perfect teddy bear friend...not pretentious or flamboyant...he's Briar Bear. Fashioned from a short pile Schulte mohair, Briar Bear has the look and feel of my very old Steiff miniature teddies...but I think he has much more personality! Briar Bear's face has a hand-plucked upper muzzle and a carefully trimmed lower muzzle. Needle sculpting and deep-set hand-blown glass eyes add to his wonderful expression. Of course, he has a meticulously hand-embroidered nose and mouth. Briar Bear's inner ears are lined with ultrasuede. His ultrasuede paw and oversized footpads (his feet are almost shoulder high!) have been needle scuplted with fingers and toes. Like all well-fed teddies, Briar Bear has a nice big tummy! He is stuffed with a combination of polished steel shot, glass beads and polyester polyfil. He will feel wonderful sitting in the palm of your hand. His little bow, in shades of brown, is the perfect simple accessory.
