Permission to come on board...and sail away! Matey is on deck! This seaworthy little guy is fashioned from a sparse, antique gold Schulte mohair. The brown backing gives him a wonderful contrace. Matey's upper muzzle has been hand-plucked, and his lower muzzle and head have been trimmed to give him a seaworthy look. His face has been needled sculpted. Matey's hand-blown glass eyes look out over his meticulously hand-embroidered nose and mouth. And, adding to his great expression are those low set, UltraSuede lines ears. His UltraSuede paws and feet (those feet are HUGE!) have been needle sculpted with fingers and toes. His navy midi, found in the teddy bear markets of Hennef, Germany, is hand-made. Shipboard meals have consisted of the finest polyester polyfil and steel shot. Like all the bears of The Bear Menagerie, Matey will travel with a sewn-in tush tag and a hand-signed card assuring you that he is an original design, hand-crafted by Debbi Henretty!
