For those of us who live in the colder climes, the mere sight of a tangerine brings happy feelings...and the color of this adorable needle felted teddy gives me that same, sweet feeling!
Tangy is a needle sculpted bear using a very time-consuming technique. There was no pattern, no scissors, no sewing! She was created using New Zealand Romney and luxurious fine merino wool that was sculpted into form using a very fine, barbed felting needle to secure it in place. While the process took several days to complete, the results make it well worth the effort. Tangy is a one-of-a-kind. As you can see from her portraits, Tangy has a contrasting muzzle and inner ears...and she even has paw pads and toes, as well an an open mouth and tonque. Her detailing was done literally one hair at a time! Her arms and legs have been sculpted in a position that captures her fun spirit and classic bear charm. Her deep-set eyes are hand-blown glass, imported from Germany.
